Welcome to Warden Law Kart Club 2007 |
A big thank you for joining Warden Law Kart Club for 2007… your support is greatly appreciated.
The Club is slowly establishing itself on the karting map with the coming year promising a step up the ladder. We have an ABKC Super One again for Cadet, JICA, 100 National, Formula ICA and Formula A. a round of the NKF Championship which includes Junior Gearbox and 125ICC which is a first time for Warden Law, along with Biland Challenge and the WTP Little Green Man Championship. The RAFMSA are also retuning to Warden Law.
The format of five races, i.e. 3 heats, Pre Final and A Final has worked well with all grids looking good and growing! We have retained some of the club officials from last year.
Congratulations to Jay Taylor, who in his second year competing in Super One, achieved the number 7 plate in Mini Max. Congratulations to Lee Bourner, who won the NKF Championship for Mini Max, with Scott Atkinson 2nd and Max Coates 3rd. In the Little Green Man Championship we had success again with Dominic Wheatley the number 9, and Ben Craig number 15.
A note to all drivers who would like to do a little more than the WLKC Club Championship but feel that Super One and Stars of Tomorrow is too much, the NKF is a great Clubman’s Championship and the prizes at the end make it all worthwhile.
Club meetings are still held on the 3rd Sunday of every month from February to November. We will be running one Club Championship for WLKC members throughout the year. Every Saturday prior to a Race Day will be exclusive practice for owner drivers from 2pm until 9pm.
Warden Law Kart Club will annually present three special trophies. The Dennis Davison Memorial Trophy, the Bryan Hornby Memorial Young Achiever of the Year and the Driver of the Year Award.
The Dennis Davison Memorial Trophy is awarded at either the October/November Club meeting to the winner of the Rotax Max class. This trophy was donated to the club from the Davison family. Dennis was a founder member of the Northumbrian Kart Club.
The Bryan Hornby Memorial Young Achiever of the Year Award – Bryan was an excellent kart racer who returned to the Kart Club in recent years working for Karting North East, HRS and was a committee member of Warden Law for a number of years. Bryan was also the ARKS examiner at Warden Law. In celebration of Bryan’s life his family have donated a beautiful trophy to be presented annually to the driver (aged between 8 and 15 years) who has achieved success at both club and national competitions and who has acted as an ambassador to Warden Law Kart Club.
